**THE LOCATION**

The Bay of Islands is one of New Zealand’s most popular destinations. It is a subtropical region known for its stunning beauty and history.

For those that love beaches and water activities, this is the perfect location for you. The large number of islands in the region make for an easily accessible aquatic playground such as fishing, sailing, kayaking, boating, etc.

This area also extends well beyond the water’s edge, with a diverse landscape to wander through, waterfalls to explore, and historic and cultural sites, and unique attractions, you will for sure not have any trouble in making this place your new home.

**THE ROLE**

**YOU**

If you are currently in charge of or have previously been responsible for multiple contracts or projects within the roads maintenance business, and have an ambitious, growth mind-set, this could be the role for you. You will demonstrate a strong track record of building and maintaining excellent client relationships and an ability to develop and support contract managers to achieve their targets and fulfil their potential. You will be a skilled stakeholder manager, capable of gaining support from and influencing key internal and external people who are not in your reporting line. You will have in-depth knowledge of the transport infrastructure landscape in New Zealand, an understanding of the key client organisations, a strong network of industry contacts and the ability to contribute to growth strategy and planning. Ideally you will be located in the Bay of Islands but this role could potentially be accommodated in Whangarei or the Kaipara District

**Requirements**:

- Contract Management experience from the roads operations and maintenance sector
- Previous experience as an area/regional/operations/contracts manager with oversight of multiple operations
- Previous exposure to pre-contract activity
- Demonstrable strength in client relationship management up to senior procurement or executive management level
- Previous success in leading and managing large operational teams.
- Financial literacy and commercial savvy.
