Ventia is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to look after our Road Maintenance Contract with the Far North District council - this is a stable contract, working with a well-established and dedicated team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the contract, ensuring that there is proper implementation of systems and processes to support the successful delivery of the contract. You will need to develop and foster a collaborative environment between all parties (FNDC, Ventia supervisors, field staff, and key suppliers) at the same time build and ensure a stewardship culture exists within the contract.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will also be responsible for developing innovative solutions to achieve all contract deliverables; ensure all contract obligations are met in a safe and environmentally responsible manner as well as ensure that all resources available on the contract are utilised in such a way as to maximise the financial returns and return on capital employed for the contract.

If you dont have any Roading or Civil Construction background but are a Manager with proven project management, financial management, and stakeholder management experience, we would like to hear from you

**ABOUT YOU**

You will preferably have a Diploma in Civil Engineering as well as experience working on RAMM.

There is a financial element to the role so experience in site budget, site administration, and handling of commercial terms for consultants and subcontractors is also desired.

**Other Requirements**
- Business Skills - familiar with accrual accounting principles and able to formulate and interpret financial reports on progress and future projections, demonstrated time and organisational management skills, proven report writing skills, demonstrated experience in stakeholder management; demonstrated ability to develop solutions, influence and negotiate in a collaborative manner with the client as part of the one network team
- Physical Abilities - Must be able to move freely about on the roading network. This may include navigating rough terrain. Well - presented appearance
- Driving Skills - Valid NZ drivers license Class 1 and experience driving appropriate vehicles in all road and weather conditions
- Computer Literacy - Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, i.e. Microsoft Office and Project, SAP, Project Management Systems, PROMAN and especially RAMM.
