The Opportunity:
As People and Culture Advisor you will be responsible for providing front line support to Employees and People Leaders by managing day-to-day People& Culture enquiries. This role will support employees through the management of cases logged via the Workday case management system and will be responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of knowledge management resources available to employees. In addition, the incumbent will be involved in enhancing automation capabilities within the HRIS system and driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role:

- Act as a first point of contact for people related policy and process queries via the Workday case management system.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and people leaders on policy matters
- Ensure payroll requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner to assist in the effective processing of the fortnightly pay cycle (e.g. new starter loading, job changes, allowance changes etc).
- Escalate cases to People & Culture SMEs where required, such as People& Culture Business Partners, Learning and OD, Performance and Reward and Payroll.
- Manage administration requirements related to employee movements within the organisation.
- Support SME’s across People & Culture with ad hoc administration needs and project support where required.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders, the People & Culture Business Partnering and Talent team, and the wider People and Culture team.
- Enhance employee resources available via Workday articles, including job aids and process guides to support high volume activities.
- Review article feedback from employees to fine tune knowledge articles as required.
- Update, add and delete knowledge articles as needed using intel gained from reporting and feedback

About you:

- Strong administrative skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good numerical, excel and reporting skills with ability to understand and interpret data, manipulate data, and uncover underlying trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A theoretical knowledge of current NZ employment legislation and environment is desirable.
