About the role | Mō te tūnga
Working across the People team, you will work with senior team members to provide operational advice and support to leaders, and delivering key people processes and initiatives.
**Other activities will include**:
- Supporting the operational delivery of initiatives across the People & Community group, including performance and remuneration, capability development, talent and succession, change management, employment relations, health and safety, wellbeing, and organisation development
- Ensuring our ways of working embrace and promote te ao Māori, and help to build Māori capability within our workforce
- Maintaining employment documentation and records, and contributing to regular people reporting
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of our people policies, guidelines and information.
We are a small team of generalists and specialists which means you get the opportunity to be involved in a varied and wide range of work.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Government's lead advisor on housing and urban development and will deliver the Government's programme to address homelessness, increase public and private housing supply, make existing homes warmer and healthier, make housing affordable for people to rent and buy, and lead quality urban development strategies to create thriving communities.
The People Advisor is part of the People and Community team whose work is to advise and support leaders on a wide range of people matters so they can be successful, deliver an exceptional people experience, and build a thriving community.

- We have a stepped remuneration framework where salary movement happens though defined step increases within a role salary band. Appointment to a step within the salary range will depend on the experience and skills the person brings to the role which will be better known following a recruitment process including an interview. The salary range for this role is $70,015 - $85,617 (top step).
