What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana
- Design and drive the Commission's Community Engagement Strategy plan to expand and strengthen relationships with local and central government, community-based organisations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to advance the strategic goals of the Commission to connect and partner
- Monitor, anticipate and understand community issues and priorities, and develop plans and shape our position to leverage off our effective relationships
- Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison to interface with central government, ensuring there are effective partnerships and agreements in place
- Work in close collaboration with Communications and Education team to develop and implement effective outreach strategies to enhance public awareness for the General election
- Anticipate and manage issues and threats the Commission's reputation, proactively prepare for potential issues, and respond quickly to unforeseen issues, in coordination with multiple departments and internal stakeholders. If necessary, quickly organize, manage, and lead cross functional teams

- Experience setting strategic direction and mobilising teams to deliver
- Experience developing and implementing engagement plans/strategies to connect with target audiences (e.g., communities)
- Extensive experience in financial and operational management
- Experience leading engagements with delivery agencies stakeholders and government agencies
- Experience working with teams that are located across the country and creating cohesive team environments
- Experience leading/delivering large-scale projects and programmes
- Experience leading teams through periods of significant change
- Systems, strategic and critical thinking
- Awareness of the economic, political, social and cultural context in which the individual and the Commission operate.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Thought leadership
- Has a strong level of emotional intelligence
