**The Role**

Our exceptional people see everything as an opportunity and are always striving to make more from milk. We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader to join our busy Warehouse team on a permanent basis.

As the shift leader, you will provide guidance to the Warehouse Operators and ensure all warehousing tasks are completed accurately, without damage, and in a safe manner. You will ensure the operations shift team have all the tools and skills to process the range of products we have for, putaway, staging, line clearance, picking and distribution.

Key responsibilities include:

- To effectively plan and organise the warehouse store people over the shift to ensure good practices, employee safety and product quality are maintained at all times.
- To ensure that the operations team has a solid training plan and performance feedback system in place for each warehouse store person.
- Ensure the warehouse and equipment are maintained in a standard as per the procedural guidelines.
- Be accountable for the accurate and safe storage of product within company guidelines.
- Manage staff leave, covers, overtime, and roster changes.
- Coaching of operators to ensure knowledge in all warehouse tasks.

**Qualification**
- NCEA Level 1 or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Mobile Plant operating certificate is required.

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP systems is preferred.
- Previous experience in milk powder plant processes is highly desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of and experience with standard warehousing practices.
- Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
- Experience with RF scanners would be an advantage
