Mō te tūnga | About the role
You will collaboratively lead the strategy, design and integration of a customer-centric knowledge and information management shared services ecosystem across the NZ Defence Force as a senior member of the Defence Shared Service Group (DSSG). You will cover a diverse range of requirements across strategic and technical capabilities to enable an effective shared services network.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Delivering results which contribute to DSSG and NZDF's outcomes related to knowledge & information management;
- Providing strong leadership and effective management of the DSSG Information Management Integration teams and workplan;
- Leading development and implementation of strategy and investment plans to raise knowledge & information management maturity; and
- Managing knowledge & information access expenditure and resources.

You will be a well-established leader with proven experience aligning strategic direction to organisational outcomes through advising, designing and integrating effective knowledge and information management systems.
You'll be pragmatic, solution orientated and can translate complex work and thinking in a cohesive way.

**You will also have**:

- Significant professional and technical skills and knowledge and relationship management experience within a matrix organisation;
- Demonstrable experience successfully leading change with people;
- Understanding of business and frameworks including Privacy Act 2020, OIA and Public records act;
- Previous information management leadership experience; and
- Technical understanding of regulatory, legislation and AOG requirements.

- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
