As part of our organisation wide transformation, our Knowledge and Information Management department are specialising their practice and as a result, this exciting and unique manager opportunity has been created.

If you are a skilled leader looking to join a collaborative and high performing data and information department, look no further The Information, Data and Analytics Group are a critical function within The Reserve Bank of New Zealand | Te Pūtea Matua and are responsible for setting bank-wide information and data strategy and policy.

They are also responsible for the collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of data to support evidence-based decision-making across the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).

The group manage Bank-wide partnership activities and conducts intelligence gathering and provides insights to the RBNZ and its stakeholders, working in partnership with Digital Solutions who own the platforms and products that house RBNZ data.

The Knowledge and Information Management department is responsible for improving all aspects of the Bank's information and data posture, end to end:

from securely sourcing and storing data to the appropriate use and re-use of data and the knowledge derived from it.

The department ensures that current and future architecture is aligned with the Bank's strategic direction, business requirements and industry standards, and ensure it meets the evolving needs of the RBNZ.

Te tūranga - The role The Manager, Knowledge Centre and Records Management is responsible for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets.

This role will lead a team of knowledge, records, and library management specialists, and will actively engage with the business stakeholders to help Te Pūtea Matua manage information through its lifecycle while ensuring we meet our records management obligations.

  • Proven experience leading a team of knowledge or records management professionals, ideally in a Government context
  • Confidence and skills in influencing and engaging with all levels of an organisation
  • A sound understanding of relevant legislation, including the Public Records Act, Privacy Act, Official Information Act
  • Sound knowledge of electronic document and records management systems and physical records management
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and deliver high quality outputs
  • Understanding and appreciation of crosscultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
