Later this year, Auckland will welcome New Zealand’s first Hotel Indigo to the neighbourhood. The “City of Sails” will set the backdrop for this boutique upper-upscale hotel, drawing inspiration from local artists for its design, service, amenities, food and beverage. The 225-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in Auckland Central, with stunning views of the city and Auckland’s iconic harbour.

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help bring Hotel Indigo Auckland to life. This role will support the Executive Housekeeper to set up the Housekeeping department and operations to ensure a memorable guest experience is delivered and hotel policies and procedures established.

**A little taste of your day-to-day**
- Being part of history As part of this pre-opening team, you will be part of setting this beautiful new hotel up ready to receive its first guests
- Creating new ways of working, receiving hotel goods, and placing them in location, undertaking our IHG Service Training and inspire your new team
- Managing, coaching, and developing a team dedicated to exceptional housekeeping and cleanliness standards
- Maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment - whilst minimising waste - in support to our green initiatives
- Helping refine and prepare budgets that help us maximise profitability
- Assisting with deep cleaning projects and assisting your team during busy periods
- Supporting and overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure ex

**What we need from you**
- At least three years experience in a leading housekeeping position in a hotel environment
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent or housekeeping related field is advantageous
- Experience with leading and developing a team
- Strong understanding of hotel operations
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience with hotel Property Management Systems
- Full working rights within New Zealand with no restrictions
