Auckland Council’s purpose is to create an Auckland we can all be proud of. The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) is part of the Group Services’ directorate whose vision is to ensure our customers love us for the difference we can make, and our people feel excited, proud and energised.

The EPMO is responsible for the Project Management Delivery Framework, Portfolio Management and Prioritisation, Benefits Framework, Portfolio Governance Framework, and Portfolio PPM tool. Its purpose is to support the organisation with portfolio, programme and project delivery, so we are doing the right things, and doing them right. The EPMO sets the process, supports capability build, enables enterprise prioritisation, monitors project delivery, and undertakes reporting and benefit realisation.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You are an experienced portfolio or programme manager with a proven record of excellence in the design and delivery of P3 (portfolio, programme, project) management best practice frameworks. You will bring significant Business Analyst and/or Programme/Project Manager experience. You may have a tertiary or industry recognised qualification in a relevant field such as project management, or an agile certification, but demonstrated experience will be prized as highly as qualifications.

You’re politically astute with a flexible, adaptable, pragmatic approach; able to work collaboratively with stakeholders to build a partnership based on trust to influence outcomes and ensure successful project delivery. First-rate communication skills and highly effective presentation, documentation, and reporting skills are a must, as is the ability to lead and mentor your colleagues and team-mates. Finally, you have a highly developed ability to deal with ambiguity and are able to effectively manage competing priorities.

You will have a strong understanding of our Māori Responsiveness framework and Te Tiriti obligations in order to help drive the division’s Māori Responsiveness Plan and continue to build capability and confidence across the division.
