**About the role**
You will provide valuable insights and data on the health and progress of our main programmes and portfolios to enable better decision-making, greater collaboration, and continuous improvement across Digital delivery. An autonomous role where you will drive best practice through leading specific areas of Portfolio Management including benefits management, defining process and PMO good practice. In summary, you will:
- Use data to generate valuable insights.
- Define and drive best practice portfolio processes.
- Produce portfolio dashboards and reporting.
- Be the go-to person for our portfolio management tooling, providing continuous improvement suggestions and managing their implementation.
- Support portfolio processes across various systems, e.g. assurance, approvals, new project set up and POs
- Support the project delivery workflow/operating model for portfolio governance.
**Who we are looking for**
You will have experience with reporting, data or analytics in the projects, programmes or portfolio space and /be familiar with project / programme practices. You will be passionate about using data to generate insights. You will be keen to learn, energised, self-motivated and organised and a critical thinking approach. You’re a problem solver, who has great attention to detail and comfortable leading meetings and driving outcomes. In addition, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills and can confidently lead meetings.
- A great work ethic, keen to learn, energised, self-motivated, and organised, with a positive can-do approach.
- Excellence in business skills, such as: analysis, stakeholder engagement and facilitation.
- The ability to work within tight timescales and be trusted to deliver to deadlines.
- An understanding of the principles and frameworks of project management, governance, and (ideally) agile delivery.
- Familiarity with Digital service management processes and standards.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience with project portfolio management systems
- Experience with SAP (desirable but not compulsory).
