We have an opportunity for an aspiring portfolio manager to join our Consumer Portfolio Team as Leader - Contents Portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing the Contents portfolio to ensure profit targets and returns are within accepted parameters. You will lead the design and maintenance of the portfolio whilst also supporting the development of customer valued products/solutions across the wider Consumer Portfolio.

**What you will do**:

- Accountable for the profit contribution of the Contents customer segment and associated product lines, solutions, and value propositions within the Home and Contents portfolio
- Drive value for our customers and business partners and generate quality growth across the Consumer portfolio.
- Assist the Consumer segment (Contents) Product management and maintenance, along with management of related Consumer platforms.
- Assist the development and implementation towards digitisation for the Consumer portfolio.
- Oversee and drive the identification of new opportunities to enhance the customer experience, simplify business process and create value for our customers, business partners and shareholders the Contents portfolio.
- Create clear lines of accountability for Consumer profitability and performance to ensure market commitments are met.
- Lead and develop the capability of others across the organisation through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and where required, performance management.

**What you will bring**:

- Experience in NZ/Global insurance or financial services market ideally within a Personal Insurance or Commercial Insurance context.
- Demonstrable experience working with Insurance systems and processes.
- Strong portfolio management skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand analytical data.
- Experience in leading project related delivery, requirements, and analysis.
- Strong leadership and change management skills, consultation, influencing and negotiation capability.
- The ability to provide sound business advice and provide mentoring/coaching to others.
