Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Business Process Advisor is responsible for developing best practice processes and ensuring processes are consistently followed. You will play a pivotal role in co-ordinating a consistent approach to business services across the Defence Shared Services Group. You will be part of the community of practice and will provide knowledge and expertise in designing service improvements.

**You will be required to**:

- Clarify high-level process changes and carry out risk and impact assessments.
- Design and test SOPs with users to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
- Support stakeholders to translate customer insights into requests for variation and assess the requests to ensure justification is sound & risks are identified.
- Develop compliance check processes that focus on risks and carry out compliance checks.

Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of working from any NZDF Camp or Base within NZ. You will also have the option of working from home one-two days a week.
DSSG have a presence at every NZDF Camp and Base in NZ. Occasional travel is required to visit DSSG sites. A Class 1 Full Driver's License is therefore required.

**You will also have**:

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust by consistently providing value-added insights.
- Strong prioritisation skills with a future focus and results driven mind-set.
- Experience in process design and systems thinking.
- A tertiary level qualification/equivalent professional level qualification or relevant business experience.
