About Us
Trust Framework Authority - new function, new opportunities
A new function within the Digital Public Service Branch, the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework has been established to put ownership and control of digital identity information firmly in the hands of individuals, enabling easy sharing of identity information and reducing privacy and security breaches. The work of the Trust Framework is ground-breaking and will influence the digital landscape for both public and private sector organisations; helping to identify solutions that will support New Zealanders to provide proof of who they are online in an easy, fast and accessible way.

About the role
The Manager Regulatory Practice is responsible for the day-to-day management of a small front-line regulatory team, bedding in responsive risk based operating models and meeting agreed compliance outcomes. The role is also responsible for raising regulatory practice and performance, and ensuring the TFA meets its regulatory obligations.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide operational leadership to the regulatory function, driving consistent, transparent and best practice approaches and building the capability of the TFA.
- Ensure effective, efficient and consistent consideration of, and decisions on, TFA compliance reviews, investigations, enforcement and prosecutions.
- Work with colleagues across the TFA to develop and implement innovative and enhanced business practices.
- Develop, implement and monitor delivery of a coherent work programme.
- Ensure team members meet standards and expectations that ensure digital identity regulatory regime responsibilities are delivered to a high standard.
About you
You will be an experienced regulatory manager who wants to build a high performing team and contribute to the establishment of a new and innovative regulatory function.
**To be successful in the role you will have**:
- A good knowledge of best practice regulatory service delivery.
- The ability to assess the effectiveness of regulatory interventions and provide advice to inform design/policy development.
- Experience working in and contributing to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders (internal and external) in a variety of ways (e.g., advise, collaborate, consult, co-design).
