Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The Manager Regulatory Intelligence & Risk will take a strategic and future focused systems view of the land transport system to focus on risks, harm and outcomes and incorporating good regulatory decision making.

This is a pivotal role within the Regulatory Performance & Insights team.

You and your team are responsible for maintaining a direct line of sight on our risk of regulatory failure, assessing where we are at risk of exceeding tolerance levels for regulatory non-compliance, guiding non-compliance interventions and undertaking complex, evidence-based risk assessments.

Working closely with a team of risk and intelligence experts you will enable and support the delivery of qualitative and quantitative information to assess and identify issues, risks, threats and opportunities, within our regulatory system and producing corresponding intelligence products to inform decision making.

We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills; a seasoned leader, and is an expert at building and maintaining high performing teams.

You will be able to demonstrate experience across intelligence and regulatory risk.

Along with the key technical skills you would possess strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management ability enabling the navigation at a senior level across large, complex environments.

  • Knowledge of the land transport system and/or regulation
