**Job Description**:
It’s a busy role for a busy brain. You’ll serve our brands with fantastic retail copy for the big campaigns and the little messages.

Reporting into one of our Creative Services Chapter Leads, you’ll belong to our Creatives Services chapter. It’s home to a range of connected disciplines and skills including graphic design, art direction, photography, video, animation, brand guardianship, and more.

Creative Services lives in our Marketing, Digital & eComm Chapter Area, and on a day-to-day basis you will be working with a cross functional team as a squad member drawing on your copywriting talents.

Now for those details we promised Your key responsibilities will include:

- Copywriting
- Your words will go nationwide across a range of traditional and new media channels. Think TV, radio, billboards, the backs of buses and the fronts of shopping malls, pretty much the entire internet, anywhere our customers need to hear from us. We don’t know what’s around the corner, but if you’re able to work with a team to adapt ideas into emerging media channels, you’ll be right at home with us now and later.
- Clever brain stuff
- there’s probably a term for this, but we’ll leave that to you. Our copywriters help their squads to deliver marcomms campaigns from ideation to execution, often with agency partners. We love critical thinkers who help interrogate the strength of an idea and its potential for delivery, and focus not just on how amazing it is but how well it will inform, engage, and entertain our customers.
- Language leadership - Being a good copywriter serves our customers, and it also helps set the standard of communications for the wider team. This can turn up in a multitude of ways including direct mentoring, guideline and toolkit development, and team learning sessions.

**Qualifications**:
You’re a skilled writer and communicator who can translate an idea or a brief into the desired outcome with the support of your team, at pace. For that reason, team fit is really important. Your collaborative spirit will help get ideas off the ground and tasks to completion. Your ability to connect the cleverness of the creative idea with the customer and business needs, coupled with your critical thinking skills, will be essential to your success in your squad and for your chapter.

Here's what we’re hoping to see:

- A minimum of three years’ experience in an intensive copywriting role. You might have most recently been in an agency or freelance situation, journalism, client-side retail, public relations, or somewhere else entirely that requires your talent and confidence as a writer. _Please share some examples of your work when applying._
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, sometimes gif.
- An interest in leadership - growing and developing your skillset.
- Some reo Māori in your kete or otherwise a genuine passion for promoting te reo Māori.
- Sharp atention to detall.
- An appetite for fast-paced and cross-functional work environments.
