**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

The purpose of the Team Administrator role is to provide day to day administration support to our Regional Service Improvement team. To ensure the team has administrative support and work is delivered on time and to a high standard.

**This role is based in the Te Waipounamu Region made up of Nelson Marlborough, Canterbury, South Canterbury, West Coast and Southern. Ideally, you will be based in one of these locations, but this can be discussed at interview stage.**

- Proven experience as a team administrator.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational skills along with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines whilst preserving the highest levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior Ministry officials and with health sector leaders.
- Experience/skilled in with calendar management and meeting coordination and arrangements.
