The University of Otago, Christchurch seeks a Regional Associate Dean, Nelson/Marlborough to provide local support for all health professional programmes in the Division of Health Sciences where clinical experiences are gained in the Nelson/Marlborough region.
This is a key position which facilitates and coordinates the development of high-quality learning environments, providing a point of liaison between the University of Otago and health service providers who provide clinical training opportunities in the region (e.g. Te Whatu Ora, General Practices, Non-Government Organisations, and private health service providers).
We are committed to working closely with iwi and Māori organisations, and mātauraka Māori has become an integral part of teaching and research across the institution. We especially value our relationship with Ngai Tahu, the mana whenua within their takiwā of Te Waipounamu, and the University’s principal Treaty partner.
**_Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
You will have a tertiary qualification and experience in a health-related profession, have proven experience establishing and developing relationships with clinical teachers/supervisors and with organisations of varying sizes. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pre-existing relationships with health care providers in the region would be advantageous.

This is a part time (0.2 FTE) leadership role available for three years.
