**Vestas Australia / New Zealand yet again releasing an opportunity to all the Electrical Engineer who specialise in Power System Studies to join an amazing and dynamic team.**

**As an Engineer you will be working along the Regional Power Plant Solutions (PPS) technical function team. The role will encompass technical and stakeholder management from presales all the way to service on multiple projects.**

**You will be working with a team of engineering professionals across the region working closely with other cross-functional teams delivering competitive and compliant grid solutions.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assessing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of balance of plant systems specific to renewable energy projects.
- Identifying and resolving issues and inefficiencies within the balance of plant systems. This involves diagnosing problems, conducting root cause analysis, reviewing document, and coordinating with other teams.
- Review of Balance of Plant (BoP) design, drawing and document submissions from subcontractors against industry best practice, law, international and local standards, in addition to Vestas' contractual and interfacing requirements from the perspective of grid connection.
- Support power system studies to define the wind farm generator performance standards and to develop the wind farm control system functional design specification and reactive plant requirements. Coordinate activities with the grid modelling department.
- Simulation and modelling of the wind Power Plant including WTG, PV and storage.
- Ensure grid connection deliverables required to be submitted by Vestas are provided in a timely, safe and high-quality manner.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure grid connection issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Engage and manage consultants when required.
- Research and prepare formal responses to inquiries regarding wind farm technical performance. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customer.
- Attend and provide input to various safety, design, technical and risk meetings, workshops and reviews.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and document all grid connection activities, milestones, and outcomes.
- Review grid connection documents.

**Qualification**:

- Electrical engineering (power systems knowledge) with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience.
- Registered or Certified Professional Engineer (RPEng or CPEng) preferred.

**Competencies**:

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in working together with international stakeholders.
- Must have experience with PSCAD, PSSe, and/or Powerfactory.
- Experience in the electricity generation sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Experience in wind and or other renewable industries is preferred.
