This iconic and trusted Kiwi company prides itself on continuously evolving and innovation is currently looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join the team. Sustainability is embedded in their culture as is having that commercial edge. This role looks after categories that support operations on the ground across the country.
With some changes in structure and direction this key role has become available. The role is responsible for optimizing the performance of procurement and commercial activities across the business and to maximise the value of procurement and commercial outcomes.
As part of a wider Procurement and Commercial team you will be the primary procurement business partner for an operational category which includes fleet.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of detailed category, sourcing and vendor pipelines and strategies for the procurement of goods and services within your category
- Lead procurement planning activities with business units
- End to end vendor selection for major procurement spend, developing and refining frameworks for evaluation
- Contract negotiation and implementation
- Contract management, ensuring contract management and reporting systems are in place
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative partnership relationships internally and externally
About you:
- Ideally be CIPS qualified
- Have a background in logistics as well as proven procurement expertise
- Possess a sound understanding of risk management in procurement
- Be an articulate and confident communicator with high levels of attention to detail
- Will have well developed analytical and conceptual thinking skills, be able to think strategically and tactically
- Not afraid to speak and challenge the status quo
- Be adept at influencing and driving change
