**Here at the Regional Consents Section we’re looking for someone who can **
- Deliver work on behalf of the Manager when requested, including representation in different forums
- Look at systems and processes and develop ways to improve these, finding innovative ways of delivering our work
- Identify and assist with initiatives to continuously improve the delivery of the consenting and compliance functions of the Council
- Support the section with RMA expertise, coaching and developing others
- Prepare guidance material to ensure team members are approaching their work in a consistent manner
- Practicing the concept of continuous improvement by showing initiative with new ideas and positively acknowledging others’ ideas
- Provide guidance with resolution of complex issues associated with resource use
- Liaise with appropriate regional and national networks to enhance consenting and compliance within the section

**Qualifications**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in resource management or related field, e.g. environmental planning or science
- An understanding of Te Ao Māori
**Experience**:
- At least five years practical experience implementing the RMA, preferably to a senior level
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proven track record in continuous improvement
