- **About the opportunity**

Our Te Awamutu site has a long-established history of milk powder, butter and AMF manufacturing. We produce a range of whole milk powders, skim milk powders, buttermilk powder, butter and AMF which is exported around the world.As Maintenance Team Leader you will work alongside the Maintenance Manager to provide best practice leadership and coaching to further develop the capability of our Maintenance Team, ensuring delivery of targets and objectives by leading a safe and proactive approach to maintenance.You’ll be a key stakeholder in the delivery and management of the site repairs and maintenance budget with a strong focus on improving financial performance, continuous improvement, risk management and constraint management techniques.Core responsibilities include improving plant performance, championing site and business strategy plans, technical and budget support. As the main conduit between our Maintenance and Production teams, you will ensure that the lines are working efficiently, develop standards to eliminate loses and proactively seek out opportunities to improve maintenance activities.- Lead, mentor and develop a team of electricians and mechanical fitters.
- Own the MP&S process for Team Lead role.
- Work with the site’s progressive maintenance teams to ensure that all maintenance tasks have been planned, organised, and executed
- Responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses
- Play a key role in approving new equipment or modification to the equipment. Ensuring it meets Preventive Maintenance standards
- Play an active role in leading Lean manufacturing and Operational Excellence standards across the plant.

**About you**

We are looking for a people leader with demonstrated background in either mechanical or electrical functions. With a focus on standards creation and maintenance improvement, you will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Your passion for problem-solving and root-cause analysis coupled with your ability to work across several teams will see you succeed in this pivotal role.
- **Additional skills you will bring to this role**:

- Certified Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Trade qualification or equivalent. Ideally with electrical cross-training if mechanical.
- Proven technical mastery of equipment and able to develop this in others
- Profound understanding of mechanical processes and working understanding of electrical processes are desired
- Good problem-solving skills with a demonstrated knowledge of root-cause analysis techniques (RCA)
- Excellent communication, presentation & coaching skills with good working knowledge of the site’s CMMS e.g. SAP.
- Strong focus on Food Safety and Quality as well as Health and Safety standards
- Experience in data analysis.
