About the opportunity
As the Maintenance Team Lead for our flagship Te Rapa Site, you will be responsible for improving plant performance.

As the main conduit between our Maintenance and Production teams, you will ensure that communication between maintenance and production are working efficiently.

You will be instrumental in the implementation of engineering standards to eliminate downtime and proactively seek opportunities to improve maintenance activities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your key responsibilities include:

  • Own the maintenance improvement and breakdown elimination
  • Work with the site's maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance tasks have been planned, organised,
  • Responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses
  • Play an active role in leading SWS standards across the plant
  • Upskilling and training production teams
  • Help drive delivery to the national engineering standards.

About you
We are looking for a strong maintenance professional with demonstrated background in either mechanical or electrical functions. With a focus on standards creation, maintenance improvement, you will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Your passion for problem-solving and root-cause analysis coupled with your ability to work across several teams will see you succeed in this pivotal role.


Additional skills you will bring to this role:

  • Certified Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance trade or equivalent, ideally with electrical cross-Training
  • Proven technical mastery of equipment and able to develop this in others
  • Sound understanding of electrical processes and working understanding of mechanical processes are desired
  • Good problemsolving skills with a demonstrated knowledge of rootcause analysis techniques (RCA)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills with good working knowledge of the site's CMMS (SAP)
  • Experience in data analysis.
