**The role**
As a
- **Vegetation Team Leader**, you will possess strong communication skills and keen attention to detail. Your main responsibilities will include guiding the vegetation team in carrying out their tasks in a constructive, proficient and streamlined manner. Additionally, you will offer technical aid, scope definition and planning support as needed. Reporting to the Vegetation Supervisor, this role will be situated at our Hamilton Depot.

- The key responsibilities for the Vegetation Team Leader position include, but are not limited to:
- Manage workloads and priorities of your direct reports
- Foster effective communication and address needs
- Ensure team productivity and uphold reputation
- Drive team members' performance and growth
- Provide ongoing performance feedback
- Assess WTC competencies as needed and conduct audits and quality checks
- Ensure equipment compliance via toolbox checks
- Generate required reports and collaborate on work objectives
- Efficiently manage resources and ensure accurate job scoping and pricing
- Provide technical guidance and Explore cost-saving ideas
- Communicate financials when required

**Who we’re looking for**:

- To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills:
- Relevant trade qualifications with current practising licences are required
- Familiarity with pertinent Codes of Practice, Policies, Standards, Work Procedures and Legislative requirements
- Up-to-date Work Place Competency (WTC)’s as per role demands
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience with proven team leadership skills
- Effective organizational and workload management abilities
- Active promotion of a safety culture in line with regulations and company procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills in diverse settings
