**Structured Technologies Ltd** is seeking **Senior Audio Visual Technicians** to join our **Listening Post Team**.

**The Listening Post** is one of New Zealand’s leading Hi FI Audio Visual, Automation solution suppliers and installation companies.

**About the role**:
This role will be based in Hamilton, but there will be times when you will have to provide a service to the wider Waikato, Auckland and bay of Plenty. You will be providing residential and commercial HiFi and Pro Audio Visual, Automation, Network installations in all aspects.

In your role you will be responsible for achieving high levels of installations and customer service relationships, offering upsell and cross sell opportunities. Providing unbeaten installation levels with a refined finishing standard, client training of finished installation and after sales support.

**Key tasks include**:

- Install, fit off and commission structured cabling and fibre optic networks in compliance with codes of practice, standards and regulations
- Install, test and commission Audio Visual cabling and equipment.
- Operate a variety of test equipment in locating for testing, commissioning or repairs.
- Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and or installations.
- Operate power/hand tools and other specialised equipment.
- Plan best utilisation of resources, tools plant and motor vehicles
- Ensure installations are completed to the highest quality standards as per the company quality policy
- Installations are compliant to relevant industry standards, code of practices and building codes
- Attend site and tool box meetings
- Support the companies preferred suppliers
- Projects are completed within budget
- Ensure all costs are allocated to the job, equipment, sundries, labour times, travel etc
- Selling prices are maximised, labour charge out rates are adhered to. Discounts, warranty claims require supervisor approval.
- Mentoring his / her apprentices
- Upskilling of the apprentices through training

**Health and Safety**:

- Take reasonable care that your actions or inactions cause no harm to you or others
- Actively participate in health and safety matters and processes.
- Follow safe working instructions.
- Use protective clothing and equipment as and where required.
- Report incidents, accidents, near misses and hazards.

**What we are looking for**:

- Hold a valid NZ drivers license
- Commercial and Industrial experience in AV and data network installation
- Hold current applicable manufacturing certifications
- Hold or able to obtain a current SiteSafe accreditation
- 3 years Audio Visual and or Automation experience is a must.
- Electrical qualifications an **_Advantage_**:

- Technology savvy with a keen eye for detail.
- Customer service experience is relevant in this role
