Seeking 2 Senior Security Install Technicians for both installation and service roles to join our friendly Hamilton Waikato team.

This role will be based in Hamilton, but there will be times when you will have to provide a service to the wider Waikato, King Country and Coromandel regions.

**Key Tasks include**:

- Install security systems, equipment and components in compliance with codes of practice, standards and regulations and within timeframes required.
- Adhere to company quality standards.
- Support the install team though technical advice and support for more complex and technically difficult issues.
- Follow up customer queries within a reasonable timeframe.
- Update the documentation for sites
- Purchase items in accordance with preferred supplier agreements and to obtain best price.
- Ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained for purchases.
- Assist Manager with quotes for service and maintenance work. Ensure that quotes are produced in accordance with the company margin targets.
- Accurately record materials used on jobs to enable invoicing of variations to client
- Accurately record work completed on Simpro to allow accurate invoicing.
- Train apprentices and technicians in the field on the range of systems used by Select Alarms
- Lead by example and ensure that team members are trained in a standard way of working.
- New people are trained how to install systems in accordance with Select Alarms quality standards and processes.

**Health and Safety**:

- Ensure you are correctly inducted on sites before commencing work
- Ensure you hold current applicable certification required for operating tools and plant.
- Ensure the company is legally compliant in all matters of health and safety on his or her projects
- Completion of all Health and Safety related documentation when required
- Health & Safety is discussed at all toolbox meetings.
- Accidents and near misses will be reported in an accurate and timely manner

**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant NZ registered L4 qualification or five years working experience.
- Five years or more installation experience in medium to large installation projects
- Has experience installing, maintaining and testing commercial security systems to current NZ standards and codes of practice
- Supervision of installation teams.
- Experience managing sub-contractors
- Diagnostic/trouble shooting skills and be confident to rectify faults.
- Hold current applicable manufacturing certifications
- Hold or able to obtain a current SiteSafe accreditation
- Hold or able to obtain MOJ security clearance
