A fantastic and exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician keen for a step in their career, who loves the thought of working within the ever-expanding clinical trials area.

Combined with work within our small, but very busy compounding service, this role will match someone who loves hands on work, attention to detail, mentoring and training others.


You will be working as part of a larger pharmacy team also, in particularly supporting your other Senior Pharmacy technician colleagues, so will get to know and contribute to other parts of the pharmacy service also.

A great role for someone keen to develop their leadership capabilities and have variety in their role. Remuneration will sit on the pharmacy technician 'designated position' scale to reflect these additional responsibilities.

This 1 FTE permanent position will be spread over a Monday to Friday roster with occasional rostered Saturdays and Public Holiday involvement.

Waikato Pharmacy Services provides services to all of Waikato district hospitals, is based in a tertiary level teaching hospital servicing approximately 700 beds, in one of the most diverse and geographically widespread regions in the country.

Mōu | About you
Ideally seeking an experienced pharmacy technician (level 5 or 6) to join our Pharmacy Service for this senior role.

This position has been put in place to predominantly assist our clinical trials work but also to expand the horizons of pharmacy technicians working within our service.

Responsibility and accountability for supporting clinical trials and the compounding component of trials work, as well as helping to supervise other technicians in this field are key to the role so this position will be well suited to an organised, enthusiastic technician with aseptic compounding skills.

Previous experience in hospital pharmacy and or a compounding facility is desirable.
