**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The role is ideal for someone who loves the thought of working predominantly within and providing mental health services - both on the ward and within pharmacy, working with pharmacists to provide basic clinical roles, coordinating medicines, clozapine and blister pack supplies as well as being a liaison person between mental health and pharmacy.

You will be working as part of a larger pharmacy team, in particularly supporting your other Senior Pharmacy technician colleagues, so will get to know and contribute to other parts of the pharmacy service also (hospital pharmacy and our community pharmacy). A great role for someone keen to develop their leadership capabilities and have variety in their role. Remuneration will sit on the pharmacy technician ‘designated position’ scale (6-8) to reflect these additional responsibilities.

**Mōu | About you**

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
We are needing an experienced pharmacy technician, level 5 or 6, who is confident, a good communicator and who has good clinical skills. The position will be part of a senior technician leadership team for the service, so obviously a love of leadership, coaching and mentoring of others would be great too.

Waikato Pharmacy Services provides services to all of Waikato district hospitals, is based in a tertiary level teaching hospital servicing approximately 700 beds, in one of the most diverse and geographically widespread regions in the country. This 1 FTE permanent position will be spread over a Monday to Friday roster with occasional rostered Saturdays and Public Holiday involvement
