**The opportunity**

Whāraurau seek an experienced and passionate Programme Delivery Manager to take accountability for the effective delivery of workforce development solutions. You will have strong programme management skills and financial acumen, demonstrate effective team leadership and collaboration skills at a senior management level. This is a role that will lead our team to make a positive impact to our infant, child and youth mental health and addictions workforce.

Ideally you will have experience in the health sector and/or programme management with an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This is a great opportunity to work with a fun team, doing meaningful work to improve outcomes for children, young people and whānau.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the strategy of Whāraurau as part of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
- Oversee the delivery of workforce development activity and ensure systems are embedded to leverage specialist skills and knowledge across workstreams.
- Work with the Director to ensure Whāraurau has the capability and capacity to develop and deliver workforce development solutions that meet the needs of the sector.
- Create an inspirational environment for the workforce development team to collaborate and flourish in the delivery of MH & AOD workforce development solutions.
- Provide financial input into strategy, work with SMT to develop annual and workstream budgets.
- Maintain financial oversight of programmes, ensuring they are aligned to expected financial and deliverable milestones.
- Ensure project plans and budgets are set and managed in line with contracts and SOWs and milestones are met and risks mitigated.
- Ensure principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi are supported and implemented in delivery of service.

**Your skills and experience**:
It is essential for you to hold:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing portfolios of work
- A relevant Tertiary degree in an appropriate Business discipline
- Programme or portfolio management training such as Prince2 or PMP with experience in the public sector.
- Ability to lead high performing teams where the team flourishes and grows.
- Knowledge of the infant, child and youth wellbeing/mental health/addictions sector.
- Evidence of financial reporting, quality assurance, risk management and compliance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to understanding the implication of Māori health which is implicit in Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
- The ability to travel nationally with potential for weekly travel when required.

**Who we are**

Whāraurau works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children and youth and those who care for them by providing workforce development within the mental health and addiction sector in Aotearoa. Through UniServices, a not-for-profit company of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, we are contracted by the Ministries of Health and Education to grow the capacity and capability of the infant, child, youth and whānau mental health and addictions workforces. We offer a range of e‑Learning courses, training, webinars and service supports that are government-funded and free to access.
