**The Role**

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently searching for our next Operations Manager - Bulk Liquid Transport (BLT). You’ll be based at our local manufacturing and distribution site in Mount Maunganui in the beautiful Bay of Plenty area and report directly to our ANZ Bulk Distribution Manager.

By joining IXOM you will become part of a critical and essential supply chain service, where every day you make a difference.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Effectively leverage Ixom's assets in the NZ chemical supply market to protect our core and support growth in the commercial business
- Ensure IXOM owned fleet and 3rd party carriers comply with regulatory requirements and IXOM standards
- Ensure effective resource and workforce budgeting
- Ensuring that the company owned fleet, and contracted third party carriers comply with regulatory requirements and Ixom Group standards
- Management of Fixed Costs against budget
- Minimise fleet down time through effective use of Driver Rosters, fit for purpose equipment, enhancement of scheduling technology, and development of Lean processes
- Continuous improvement and refinement of systems and processes to improve efficiency
- Ensure BLT operational practices and procedures are accurate and disseminated to drivers
- Manage relationships with key internal and external customers
- Provide input into statutory regulations through involvement with relevant industry bodies
- Ensure commercial teams are supported and agree and maintain performance standards
- Ensure BLT equipment meets full compliance requirements

**Skills & Experience**
- 10+ years’ experience in a Bulk Liquid Transport environment with at least 5 years at a managerial level
- Extensive knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations for transport and storage of DGs.
- Extensive people management experience and development for both direct reports and third party contractors
- High Productivity vehicle management experience preferred
- Experience with digital systems and transport management systems preferred
- Great stakeholder management skills at all levels, internally and externally
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills required
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and lead and coach teams to high performance outcomes
- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics Management will be highly regarded
