Who are we?
The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) investigates and counters threats to New Zealand's security. Our Surveillance Technical Unit, within the Intelligence Directorate, is now seeking a Surveillance Manager to join our Auckland team. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly-motivated operational team delivering insights to support security investigations for New Zealand.
**The role**:
Be responsible for leading a team of Surveillance Officers which includes leading and planning surveillance operations within a cross-functional Unit while ensuring secure, efficient delivery of NZSIS operational security and intelligence objectives. You will work with our Technical Operations team to integrate technical surveillance capabilities to enhance operational outcomes. Provide day-to-day leadership and operational line management of a team to ensure their on-going success and development. We promise no two days will ever be the same here
Who are you?
You'll have current or previous surveillance experience with a comprehensive understanding of surveillance methods and tactics. Proven operational leadership experience to achieve results in a security intelligence context is also desired.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
