The Surveillance Department is looking for a super star to join our team. This is a unique and challenging position which rarely becomes available. Protection of employees, customers and Casino assets are central to all tasks. Reporting to the Security & Surveillance Operations Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking the monitoring and analysis of the gaming and hospitality areas within Christchurch Casino. You will become a champion of our facial recognition technology and proactively monitor guests’ gambling behaviour while responding to guest harm minimisation alerts.

Central to this Surveillance role is to observe, monitor and report on all events, actions, and business in and around the Casino utilising Closed Circuit Television system, computer information systems and floor surveillance. The ability to investigate and analyse video data and maintain a logical approach to dealing with issues is a must. We are seeking a positive, friendly, inquisitive, and lateral thinking person who has sound literacy, mathematical, computer and observation skills.

This is a licensed position so full background checks will be conducted, and you must be 20 years of age or older. Given the nature of our business you will need to be available to work on a roster basis, covering our opening hours, 12pm to 12am Sunday through Thursday and 12pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday. The Surveillance team works up to 12-hour shifts, so flexibility is required.

Previous Casino Surveillance or Gaming experience is preferred but not essential.

**Part Time** position is available with a minimum of **38 hours per week**; however, more hours may be available depending upon business demands.
