Te tūnga | The role
Our Health Intelligence and Surveillance Group combines clinical leadership, epidemiology, and expertise in data and informatics to enable ESR to monitor, analyse, research and report on infectious diseases critical to the health of New Zealanders.
In this role, you will provide senior level operational and administrative support to the Group Leader and wider leadership team. You will be involved in a range of projects and work across a multifaceted work programme which will include reporting, financial administration, people, procurement, and operational tasks for the group.
This is an opportunity for personal stretch where you will be focused on development and enhancement of current systems and ways of working to increase efficiencies and communication across the group teams.
Kia angitu koe | About you
- Experience at a senior level in a similar role with a broad skillset across operational and administrative tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to express own thoughts and ideas with clarity, confidence, and persuasion.
- Ability to work across multiple projects, managing deliverables, timeframes and resolves conflicts effectively to ensure results.
- Experience of working in communicable disease intelligence and surveillance, including coordinating, and supporting outbreak response, is an advantage, but not essential.
- Familiarity with health surveillance work programme management and coordination would also be an advantage, however not essential.
