Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for a Support and Surveillance Officer to join our team.
The Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) is New Zealand's largest public health unit, working to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of all people in the Tāmaki Makaurau (the Auckland region). ARPHS is looking for a skilled and high performing individual to provide administrative support for our team. The Support and Surveillance Officer position provides support for programmes and staff across the service.
Reporting to the Support and Surveillance Team Leader, this role needs to have sufficient knowledge and experience about the Public Health sector to rotate among programmes and perform prompt administrative tasks, including taking disease notifications, data entry, liaising with other public health units and etc.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- 2 years of secretarial or office management experience
- A high level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Previous experience working in a health setting considered a distinct advantage
- Highly organized and efficient service delivery

We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children's Hospital, located in central Auckland.
