This is a challenging and varied Executive Assistant (EA) role. The Regional Commissioner in Wellington is responsible for all MSD's activities in the region and manages both internal and external communications and services. This is a busy and challenging opportunity for an experienced EA who appreciates that our clients are central to MSD as an organisation, our people are our most taonga and Te Pae Tawhiti - our future is the Ministry's direction.
**MSD purpose**: We help New Zealanders to be safe, strong, and independent Manaaki tangata, manaaki whānau.
- Unflappable under pressure and who enjoys the challenge of deadlines.
- Intuitive, loves using their initiative and who shows good judgement.
- Flexible and a fast learner who takes a proactive approach.
- Highly organised and a great relationship manager
- Able to ‘manage up' and who has relevant work experience.
- Understands or has a willingness to learn the machinery of government and political environments.
- Is knowledgeable and understands the importance of stakeholder relationships.
Internal vetting and the completion of a police check are requirements of working for MSD and you'll also need great references.
Position Description
**Salary range**: $78,222.00 - $94,689.00
