We have an exciting opportunity for a **Chief Clinical Advisor - Maaori **to join the **Maaori Health Team** based at **Middlemore Hospital.** This is part time position working 24 hours a week Monday to Friday.

T**he Chief Clinical Advisor - Maaori** position is responsible for leading the **Maaori Clinical Leadership Team** to provide strategic advice to **Clinical Directors and Leads** across the organisation on embedding **_Te Titiri o Waitangi_** and lifting responsiveness to Maaori. They will be a **_trusted advisor_** and promote a partnership model. They will also be responsible for the achievement of agreed KPIs across the team.

**The Chief Clinical Advisor - Maaori will**:

- Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team and participate in decision making, progressing Maaori Health priorities
- Provide leadership and support to the Maaori Clinical Leads
- Be accountable for daily management function of the Clinical Leads, eg: Timesheets, Leave Management
- Represent the collective views of the Clinical Leads and Tikanga Team in strategic forums, local and regional
- Chair the Maaori Advisory Group and lead the development of associated processes to ensure robust Maaori consultation processes for across Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau.
- Develop KPIs for the Maaori Leadership in consultation with key stakeholders and aligns with the Maaori Health Strategy
- Provide regular reporting to Hospital & Specialist Lead on agreed KPIs
- Be a key advisor to the Clinical Chiefs
- Work closely with the Tumu Tikanga & Service Manager Maaori Health to ensure alignment of key priorities with national Maaori Health priorities
