Ngā kawenga | About the role
As the Portfolio Analyst within Health, Safety and Wellbeing, you will be part of a team who supports P3 and Health & Safety practitioners delivering projects and initiatives within the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Portfolio. Ultimately, we need your help in ensuring the portfolio has a view of benefit realisations across multiple portfolios, and the department, including current health and safety industry standards, and the monitoring of themes and best practices in this environment.
Our work environment is often fast-paced - so this role calls for someone who is naturally proactive and who shows initiative to keep on track with multiple tasks and changing priorities, which also means no two days are the same when there is such a variety of tasks to get stuck into such as:

- Engaging with a diverse range of SMEs, Programme & Project Managers and Health & Safety Advisers, providing support, expertise, and advice in relation to data.
- Creating and supporting high quality reporting at all levels of the Portfolio.

- Reviewing investment and initiative framework documents, providing critical and objective feedback where necessary to document owners, ensuring high quality documents are received by the portfolio.
- Supporting the team with the development, prioritisation, and sequencing of the Portfolio workplan.
- Support the development and implementation of data-based insights and analytics which support strategic objectives.
- Utilise analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, measure, analyse, interpret, report and present datasets.

You will enjoy engaging with SMEs, Programme and Project Managers, helping, monitoring, advice, and support, coaching or training on PMO requirements, ensuring PMO and Departmental Health, Safety & Wellbeing specific risk frameworks, and disciplines, are understood, adopted, and embedded.
Experience working within a health & safety environment is highly desirable but not required.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
