**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have 2 permanent part-time positions available for a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician in the specimen registration department of the laboratory. You will be required to participate in the 24/7 roster when training is complete.
- Key responsibilities of the role:
- Receive, label and process specimens according to established protocols and quality standards.-
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of patient and specimen information.-
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper handling and storage.-
- Effective use of time to ensure timely distribution of specimens to other departments.-

- The specimen services department plays a cruical role in the healthcare system by managing the collection, processing and distribution of patient specimens for testing. Operating on a 24/7 roster, this department has a dedicated team of professionals who can work in a fast-paced environment to ensure a timely and accurate specimen handling.
