Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity


We have 2 permanent part-time positions available for a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician in the specimen registration department of the laboratory.

You will be required to participate in the 24/7 roster when training is complete.

  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Receive, label and process specimens according to established protocols and quality standards.-
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of patient and specimen information.-
  • Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper handling and storage.-
  • Effective use of time to ensure timely distribution of specimens to other departments.-
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Operating on a 24/7 roster, this department has a dedicated team of professionals who can work in a fastpaced environment to ensure a timely and accurate specimen handling.
