**About the Role**:
The Field Engineer role is responsible for providing highly visible general service and support to customers in either a field or on-site capacity. You will be primarily supporting the IT and business critical hardware assets on-site at one of our customers locations so excellent communication, customer service and professionalism will be key strengths along with your technical ability. The work will be shift based, with rosters covering 24 hours and 7 day a week operation in a 3 on, 3 off model with 12-hour shifts.

**NOTE**: This role is only open to current NZ Citizens and Residents and only for those with a current NZ Drivers License

**What You’ll Do**:

- Onsite support based primarily at customer location (Auckland) - valid NZ driver’s license is required
- Shift based work - roster of 3 days on/3 days off, 12 hour shifts of varying time slots
- Install, support, troubleshoot and repair public-facing end-user devices, complex equipment and systems including PC, tablets, thermal printer and kiosk hardware
- Undertake daily preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with agreed schedules
- Manage customer relationships, understanding specific client requirements and feeding back to Datacom to support their needs
- Own incidents, requests, and hardware Move, Add and Change (MAC’s) assigned to their Service Desk queue where an engineer is required to attend site
- Review and approve operational quality of system equipment

**What You’ll Ideally Bring**:

- Previous experience in a similar role that allowed you to build and develop your wide range of IT skills and knowledge
- Be willing to work flexible rostered shifts that will include weekends and public holidays
- Excellent hands-on experience with PC’s, Laptop’s and Windows Tablet hardware that will allow you to build, configure, install, setup and repair devices
- Experience with Thermal Printer troubleshooting, and repair would be desirable
- Worked with a variety of LAN technologies including cabled local area networks, Wi-Fi networks.
- Great customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills

**What You'd Desirably Bring**:

- Experience of technical support of Windows and Microsoft Office products and deployments, as well as theirs and other on-line services including M365, Teams, Azure, AD, Exchange,
