We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Performance Analyst to join our friendly and supportive team in our new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art workshop facility based in East Tamaki, Auckland.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Planning and performing a key business partnering role. The role will involve understanding, analyzing, and reporting on the performance of key revenue streams for the company, including the review and development of business processes and key projects. In addition to providing timely and accurate reporting for the business, there is ample scope to further develop and implement new approaches to how we operate and how we measure business performance.
**Primary Objective**:
You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver a suite of KPIs, reports, and dashboards pertaining to customer profitability and other key performance measures. There will be several key data projects that are essential for progress. Researching and developing methodologies to determine profitability across various segments of the business will be a crucial part of the role. You will have opportunities to develop strategies for enhancing customer profitability within various markets and segments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to design KPIs, reports, and dashboards pertaining to actual sales performance, customer activity, and other key performance measures (vis-à-vis budget, prior periods, etc.).
- Work with the Head of Planning, Divisional Finance leads, and Business Unit management to execute the planning and budgeting process.
- Act as a business partner by providing analysis, insight, and commentary to aid in interpreting routine management reports.
- Review and challenge sales performance in relation to budgets and forecasts, suggesting improvements or opportunities.
- Collect, compile, and analyze customer-related financial and volumetric activity/performance and trends in a format that assists senior management in making strategic sales and market decisions.
- Review and challenge business performance against forecast plans, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Develop and expand reporting methods, including dashboards and trend analysis, to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for system consolidation and integration to enhance data flow and process efficiency.
- Build and maintain a market model for the company.
- Contribute to the development of centralised modelling tools and reporting initiatives in partnership with the wider Finance team.
**Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated senior management accounting experience.
- Strong process orientation and proven ability to manage priorities within tight deadlines.
- Assertive communicator capable of establishing credibility across all organizational layers.
- Influential collaborator skilled at engaging stakeholders and adhering to deadlines.
- Proactive problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information concisely.
- Solid business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, accounting, stats, or related studies.
- Your extensive proficiency with excel and BI tools will support your success in this role.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred.
