Our client is a non for profit social services organisation based in Ellerslie and they are seeking an efficient and proactive **Administration Support** professional to ensure the smooth running of administrative functions within our organization. This role will also provide admin support to the General Manager of the organisation.
This is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing administrative support in a meaningful environment, with a focus on delivering excellent service to our team and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Reception & Communication**:
- **Correspondence & Record Keeping**:
Sort and distribute mail, maintain accurate records, and ensure confidentiality.
- **Team & Event Support**:
Attend meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and assist with event coordination (e.g., catering, venue, resources).
- **Health & Safety**:
Ensure a safe work environment, assist with health and safety inductions, and monitor compliance.
- **Self-Management & Development**:
Participate in performance reviews, seek feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- **General Duties**:
Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a positive team environment.
**Technical Skills**:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Full New Zealand Driver’s License (or working towards obtaining one).
- Clean criminal record (under the Vulnerable Children’s Act).
- Team player with a flexible, positive, and adaptable approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathetic, with good listening skills and a community-focused attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
