The Opportunity

We're looking for an Early Careers & Social Development Coordinator to join our team based out of our Hamilton office.

This is a varied & rewarding role, ideal for a truly people-focused person, passionate about elevating opportunities & pathways for our regional team. The role requires a working knowledge of civil engineering career pathways within New Zealand, from secondary school through to tertiary level, great organisational skills, the ability to relate well to people, and manage competing demands whilst supporting the business.

You will also establish connections & support initiatives of the national Talent Acquisition & Careers teams, and the national Communications & Human Resources teams.

Established connections with regional high schools, tertiary education providers, local iwi careers & development organizations, NGO’s & external career pathway organization’s would be an advantage, as would an understanding of te reo & te ao Māori.

This is a role for those also wishing to develop in their own career pathway & leadership opportunities.

- Possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills, & the ability to communicate well across all areas of our regional business- Authentic commitment to supporting the development & success of our people through internal & external initiatives & opportunities- Commitment to advocating for & supporting our people- Ability to relate well within our diverse cultural team- Ability to build rapport & establish strong connections both internally & externally- Ability to lead by example by going the extra mile when necessary- Strong attention to detail- Administration experience essential & excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products- Full Class 1 driver’s licence- Reliability, punctuality, and positive can-do work attitude is a must- Be a team player, self-motivated and take pride in your work- Strong problem-solving abilities & time management- Passion and commitment to safety in the workplace
