Our client plays a pivotal role in the home energy solutions market to new homes across the South Island. They have a small and close-knit team located in Sockburn and are currently experiencing increased customer demand. They believe in building quality relationships and global innovation.

**About the Role**:
Be one the key people driving business growth in this Business Development Manager role. Working in a fun, positive and close team your role is paramount in helping take the business in the direction they want to go. This is very much an out-and-about customer-facing role where you will be building relationships with architects, home builders and developers. You will mostly be hunting new residential projects as well as some light commercial opportunities. You won't just be bringing in the leads but also closing deals as well.

Your role will include:

- identify, research, and reach potential clients.
- coordinate with the team to develop mutually beneficial proposals
- track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
- develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business

**To succeed in this role you will be/have**:

- a hunter with a demonstrable new business development and sales background
- an accomplished sales background
- a passion for developing business
- fantastic customer service, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems
