Key Capability
- Demonstrated ability to provide geospatial system expertise and support to internal and external users.
- Ability to provide a link between, business users and technical specialists.
- Experience helping users develop geospatial requirements.
- Leading small project teams and guiding the work of Junior staff,
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex spatial ideas and information with diverse audiences.
- A strong understanding of GIS theory
- Evaluating, investigating and developing new ideas to promote geospatial concepts.
- Assisting in administering LINZ's geospatial databases to support business needs.

Qualifications and Experience
- A Geospatial qualification and/or 10 years' experience in Geospatial or related work
- An understanding of software development lifecycles
- Experience using complex national geospatial databases.
- Experience in SQL, QGIS, ESRI, FME and IntraMaps.
- Experience in supporting IT systems; software installs and testing.

**The expected appointing range (band 19) for this role is**: $102,000 - $120,000 dependant on experience. This role will be based in one of our three locations: Wellington, Christchurch or Hamilton.
