**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and analytical professional to join the Infrastructure team as a Network Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for a range of operational support activities that are critical to the smooth running of the Beca ICT platforms including, but not limited to:

- Monitoring of infrastructure and systems
- Supporting and maintaining enterprise platforms
- Acting as an escalation point for the Help Desk, providing 2nd level support to Beca staff
- Creating and maintaining infrastructure documentation
- Assisting with new implementations and project work as required

Please note that the position will be based at the Auckland Beca office.

**About you**

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a fast learner who can cope well under pressure. You will have demonstrated a motivation to continually improve your knowledge of IT systems and have a tenacious ability to fix problems as they arise. Your experience and skills will show how you are a good fit for the following:

- At least two years’ experience in the Beca environment
- A solid understanding of Network and Systems fundamentals
Windows Server
Network devices (Switches, Firewalls, WiFi, etc)
Backups
Scripting/Automation
Storage platforms and file sharing
- Experienced and proficient troubleshooting technical problems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to integrate into a team and contribute
- Proven technical documentation skills
- Must be able to communicate in writing and orally with precision and clarity, and adjust for intended audience's varying levels of understanding and background
- Proven ability to follow complex processes
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
