Our client is a New Zealand established business providing specialist Wi-Fi services and cutting-edge network solutions to their Kiwi business and customers. They also engage in international projects, receiving multiple awards and certifications in their area of expertise.
**The Role**
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, development, deployment, testing and optimise network and system services. You will be providing a broad range of services, including maintaining the company's internal network infrastructure, IT support, and system administration. This role is based in **Auckland** on a **full-time permanent** basis.
**Key Requirements**
- 5 + years of experience as a Network Engineer / Network Administration / Help Desk background
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, deploying, commissioning, and architecting complex ICT Networks across various sectors and sizes
- A Relevant tertiary qualification, or similar customer service qualification and an industry recognised networking, and systems admin certification would be an advantage. ie ITIL, CCNA, MCSA
- In-depth knowledge of CISCO and/or CISCO certifications will be beneficial.
- Good understanding of Apple's Mac OS, iOS, Android, Microsoft, Linux, IAAS Cloud and Virtualized environments
- To build an integrated network consisting of a comprehensive WAN, GPON, Telephony, CCTV, WLAN, IoT and LTE technology stack.
- Experience with network monitoring, management systems and diagnostic tool sets including Netflow, SNMP, Zabbox, sflow, Wireshark, Ekahau, inssider, Teamviewer.
- High level of professionalism, continuous technical and non-technical development
- Experience working within close net teams and adding quality value to group discussions.
- Experience with switching, routing, Wi-Fi, intercom and voice systems
- Deep knowledge of auth, routing and switching protocols including WAN, BGP, OSPF, RIP, ARP, and Spanning Tree, LAN, DHCP, TCP/IP, NAT, and DNS, RADIUS, AD, 802.1x, 802.11x
- Data works and Data Centre projects
- Effectively addressing complex issues, strategic planning, and systematic, organized work are essential, prioritizing customer satisfaction
- To construct secured Cyber Security platforms for customer and centralised systems to be hosted on.
- Someone that is okay with travelling around Auckland for clients and customers
- Great communication skills
- Capacity to train and mentor others
- To be available on an on-call basis 24/7 including Public Holidays and out of Business Hours to resolve urgent customer issues.
