**The Role**

The Network Security Engineer will have the skills and experience enough to ably discharge the duties required by the role including a tertiary or equivalent level of further education in a relevant field, ideally CCNA/CCNP. The Network Security Engineer will have comprehensive knowledge of networking and its integration with on premise and cloud-based products across multiple platforms along with a proven ability to handle problems in a systematic way. The Network Security Engineer will have five-plus years' experience managing and delivering infrastructure support and operational excellence in a small to medium business environment.

**Duties**
- Provide a point of escalation for BAU network issues
- Security (particularly Microsoft centric)
- Pre-Sales and solution scoping
- Exceptional customer service experience
- After-hours work
- Project task delivery
- Procedure and knowledge base development
- Internal system management
- Adherence to and continuous improvement of Digital Services Installation and Configuration Standards.

**Skills & Experience**
- Pre-Sales experience along with end to end solution delivery, systems migrations, implementations, security and support.
- ISP or IT Managed Services work environment. Complex Firewall, MPLS, VPN, SD WAN, QOS environments. Good understanding of wireless network
- Security - Practical and conceptual mastery network security, experience configuring and managing security appliances from vendors, such as Cisco, Fortinet and Meraki. In addition to Microsoft modern workplace security best practices (MS-500 certification advantageous).
- Networks Vendors - Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Unfi, and Meraki (experience implementing complex segregated, secure networks is essential)
- Cloud - Azure networking awareness (AZ-700 certification desirable).
- Wintel - Windows server and desktops awareness
- Virtualization - Hyper-V and VMWare fundamental concepts, VSwitch, VLAN, LACP, etc.
- Certification - CCNA Minimum level Certification, CCNP highly desirable
