**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role**:
We are looking for a Communication and Content Specialist to play a pivotal role in our small communication team, contributing to the development of our internal and external communications plans and playing an important part in bringing them to life. You’ll create and share engaging stories and content across all our channels, highlighting the diverse work and achievements of our kaimahi/staff, our many community partnerships, and our ākonga/student successes.

The Communication and Content Specialist is based at our Hamilton City Campus, reporting to the Head of Communications and will be responsible for:

- Creating engaging content for both internal and external audiences
- Proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders and the media to promote and protect Wintec’s reputation.
- Contributing to the development of Wintec’s social media strategy and driving the social media calendar to promote and grow Wintec’s online communities and social media presence.
- Supporting the Head of Communications with communications responses to critical incidents or emergency situations.

**He kōrero mōu| About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Minimum degree level qualification in communications or a related field, or the equivalent body of knowledge gained through experience.
- Experience working in a communications team to provide advice and support in the delivery of communications and engagement plans, and the planning and delivery of social media activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and write for diverse audiences in a range of formats.
- Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective internal communications and engagement initiatives.
- An understanding of the inclusion of Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in a workplace setting.
- Ideally, an understanding of the vocational education sector and the Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE).
- A can-do attitude
