**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We are looking for a Specialist Immunologist to become part of our team at Te Manawa Taki (Waikato District). You'll work closely with the Te Toka Tumai (Auckland District) Immunology Service in clinical collaboration.

As a successful Specialist Immunologist you will have experience in the diagnosis and management of immunodeficiency, allergy and autoimmune disorders. This is a 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE) permanent position with a potential to extend to 40 hours (1 FTE).

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Cultivate an environment of openness and advancement, placing patients and their families at the forefront.

- Foster strong collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and networks to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Ensure adherence to current policies and guidelines within the team.
- Implement an annual clinical audit plan to demonstrate enhancements and positive patient outcomes, while actively conducting mortality and morbidity reviews.

**Mōu | About you**
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Registration and practising certificate with Medical Council of New Zealand, therefore inclusive of scope of practice of specialist.
- Qualified to practice as a specialist Internal Medicine Physician
- Recognised and accredited Immunology training qualification
- Preferable a minimum of two years as a Specialist in Immunology (depending on qualifications exceptions may be made)

As an Immunologist you will work closely with the General Medicine Team. We aim to continue building on our multidisciplinary service, and therefore the position would be either part-time or split time for applicants with specialty interests. Those with immunology experience are desirable. You will be part of a large dedicated team of physicians, registrars, clinical nurse specialists, allied health and administrative staff.
